If you smell gas or see smoke — leave first

Dial 911. Then assemble people and pets safely.

Power outage

1. Report outage to utility if lines are yours to report.
2. Check breakers; note any recurring trip (call electrician).
3. Keep fridge closed; list of battery lights / flashlights location.

Water leak

1. Shut main water (see House systems).
2. Mop / towels; move electronics if safe.
3. Call plumber from Supplies & vendors.

Winter freeze / away mode

• Cabinet doors open for sink lines; hose bibs off; who checks if away.
